Location - walk distance away from main historical objects.
Very noisy inside and outside.

It was in walking distance to the centre of Verona and situtated in a quiet area.
I felt the hotel was not good value for money comparing to the standard and rates that are offered here in Irish hotels. On check out I was produced with a bill however I had paid cash on check in, the receptionist asked me if i had a receipt. I felt as if she didn't believe me. Luckily I had kept the receipt To make matters worse it was the same lady that actually checked me in and taken the full payment from me I thought that this was unacceptable considering that the hotel has very few rooms so surely she would at least remember the people she herself checked in.

The location within walking distance to the train station and all of the city's principal sites, the helpful staff, and the wonderful woman who oversaw breakfast.
No elevator.

Friendly staff and the convenient location.
When we arrived at the Hotel Valverde the city council had begun working on the gas pipeline outside the hotel. We were given a room that faced the street. Jackhammers continued all day and into the night until 10.30pm. This happened the secong day as well. At no time were we offered another room at the rear of the hotel, nor were we kept informed about the work. On our departure after our complaints the room rate was reduced, but this did not really compensate for two ear-shattering evenings. A shower that did not drain was just an added discomfort.

Room was small and it smelt of cigarrette even though I asked for a non smoking room, but had all I needed and was clean. Breakfast was excellent with lots to choose from as well as catering for international tastes. Staff were nice and helpful.
I'd just like to mention there is no lift at this hotel so if you happen to carry large baggage it will not be comfortable to drag them up the stairs.

The hotel location is excellent - the railway station is 10 minutes to walk and so is the historical center with its attractions. The breakfast was good.
Despite the good location of the hotel the room price was high when considered that the hotel was only one star hotel. The room floor seemed to be somewhat dirty (otherwise room was clean). The walls were apparently made of paper since a lot of noise was carried form other rooms and hallway. Earplugs were needed at night. Still OK choice for one night visit.

Perfect location for exploring the old town on foot - max 10 mins to Arena - friendly helpful English speaking staff, very clean rooms - and good size - although booked single the bed was kingsize, breakfast catered to international tastes, facility to leave luggage after check- out. Cheap places to eat and mini markets for supplies nearby. 10-15 mins walk to train station where airport shuttle bus stops every 20 mins. Superior budget hotel.
Some poeple might not like the shower arrangement - no separate cubicle in en suite, but I thought it was fine for the price.
